Orthoroks may have opened its doors in 2020 but its inception was over a decade ago when Dr. Dutta started practicing and made the promise to deliver a rockstar smile for every patient that she ever treats. Orthoroks offers several orthodontic treatments for kids, teens and adults including ceramic braces, clear aligners/Invisalign, traditional metal braces, inbrace, and surgical ortho treatments.
Patients come to an orthodontist seeking a smile that gives them pleasing esthetics along with a healthy smile – the goal of the team at Orthoroks is to listen and make a plan that suits each patients’ needs both financially and modality wise. Our orthodontic office is located in the Hunt Valley Towne Centre. New patients are welcome!
Both of my children are currently in treatment at Orthoroks and I couldn't be happier with this practice. Dr. Dutta and staff are friendly and great with my kids. My youngest has an awful gag reflex and they have been endlessly patient with him and great at putting him at ease. We had delayed his treatment because of his gag reflex but had we found Orthoroks earlier we would not have had to do that. I really can't recommend them enough.
A MOST WELCOMING and thorough staff from the receptionists to Dr. Dutta herself! Everyone has been very pleasant and quick to help; from answering questions to solving any dental problems. The facility is also clean and modern, like the practice itself, using the most updated technologies in dental care. I highly recommend Dr. Dutta and her team!
Dr. Dutta is great! So glad I found her. Her office staff is friendly and helpful. Treatment is a breeze at Orthoroks!
Dr. Dutta is fantastic! Her charismatic personality shines right through as she genuinely cares for her patients. She was very thorough in answering my myriad questions and spent extra time to make sure I understood the responsibilities that come in with getting aligners. The staff is courteous, and the office is a pleasant place to be. I highly recommend her for your orthodontic needs!
We visited Dr. Dutta today for a consult to see what kind of treatment my girls would need. The office was welcoming and warm. The staff was also wonderful and very attentive. Dr. Dutta did a great job of explaining things to my 2 very nervous girls and even had them laughing after tears were shed over possibly pulling teeth. Upon leaving my girls were also gifted with a balloon and nice little gift bag of Orthoroks items. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to seeing De. Dutta and her staff in the future.
Orthoroks... Rocks! They are very nice people, from the front desk all the way to Dr. Dutta. It is a easy and seemless process to create a beautiful smile. I look forward to continuing this journey with them!
Dr Dutta and her entire staff do such an excellent job of making the kids feel comfortable and their teeth look amazing! The whole staff is so friendly, accomodating, and professional. The office is gorgeous and inviting as well! We wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Dr. Dutta is not only an amazing orthodontist, she's also the best doctor I've ever met! She is sharp, sweet, sincere, thoughtful, personable, witty, compassionate and professional. In addition, her staff is the best - bar none!!! Every encounter - whether in person or by phone - is friendly, warm, patient and professional. Everyone in the practice always goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome, comfortable and cared for. I especially love the time and attention Dr. Dutta and her staff give to everyone! Her staff deserves special praise for their friendliness and efficiency. Scheduling appointments is a breeze, and Abby in billing is fantastic! Abby is compassionate and understanding, and has gone out of her way to proactively facilitate the insurance process, and make our payments as painless as possible. This has been extremely reassuring, especially after going through a period of financial hardship. The level of professionalism and customer service at Orthoroks is top-notch! I can't thank them enough for their outstanding care and expertise. If you're looking for top-notch orthodontic care, this is the place to go! I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Dutta and her fantastic team to anyone seeking the best orthodontic care. Five stars simply doesn't do them justice!

We love Dr. Dutta and her staff. They are so knowledgeable but they aren't pushy. We are so thankful we found this place!

Veneers can be used to improve any of the following characteristics of your teeth:
There are some situations in which veneers would be inappropriate. For example, if you have significantly misaligned teeth or a large gap, orthodontics might be a more appropriate solution than veneers. And if you have lost a lot of tooth structure from decay or trauma (or a particularly severe grinding habit), it might be better to restore your teeth with porcelain crowns that cover the entire tooth.
The first step in creating a new smile with porcelain veneers is to communicate exactly what you don’t like about your smile as it is now. It’s a great idea to bring in pictures of smiles you do like, as a starting point for discussion. It’s possible to see how veneers would look on your teeth in one of several ways. A model of your teeth can be created over which wax “veneers” can be placed; sometimes acrylic (plastic) or tooth-colored filling material can be placed directly onto your teeth to demonstrate the effect veneers would have on them.
Once the plan has been agreed upon, your teeth will be prepared by removing a small amount of enamel, if this step is necessary. Molds of your teeth will be taken and used by a skilled dental laboratory to create your veneers, and you will receive a temporary set of veneers to wear during the few weeks it will take to create your permanent veneers. When the veneers come back from the lab, they will be cemented onto your teeth.
Just like the teeth nature gave you, teeth restored with veneers need gentle brushing and flossing every day. This will remove dental plaque and ensure good gum tissue health around the veneers. Regular checkups at the dental office will remain as important as always to your oral and general health. And keep in mind that as tough as veneers are, they may not be able to withstand forces that come from using your teeth as tools (to open packages, for example) or biting into very hard foods like candy apples — which isn’t good for your natural teeth, either! And if you grind or clench your teeth at night, you might be advised to get a custom-made nightguard to protect your veneers — and your investment.
Bridges are sometimes referred to as fixed partial dentures, because they are semi-permanent and are bonded to existing teeth or implants. There are several types of fixed dental bridges (cannot be removed), including conventional fixed bridges, cantilever bridges and resin-bonded bridges. Unlike a removable bridge, which you can take out and clean, your dentist can only remove a fixed bridge.
Porcelain, gold alloys or combinations of materials are usually used to make bridge appliances.
Appliances called implant bridges are attached to an area below the gum tissue, or the bone.
Crowns are also used to attach bridges, cover implants, prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse, or an existing filling is in jeopardy of becoming loose or dislocated. Crowns also serve an aesthetic use, and are applied when a discolored or stained tooth needs to be restored to its natural appearance.
Procedures
A tooth must usually be reduced in size to accommodate a crown. An impression is then made from the existing tooth to create a custom-designed crown. The impression is sent to a special lab, which manufactures a custom-designed crown. In some cases, a temporary crown is applied until the permanent crown is ready. Permanent crowns are cemented in place.
Crowns are sometimes confused with veneers, but they are quite different. Veneers are typically applied only to relatively small areas.
Caring For Your Crowns
With proper care, a good quality crown could last up to eight years or longer. It is very important to floss in the area of the crown to avoid excess plaque or collection of debris around the restoration.
Certain behaviors such as jaw clenching or bruxism (teeth grinding) significantly shorten the life of a crown. Moreover, eating brittle foods, ice or hard candy can compromise the adhesion of the crown, or even damage the crown.
Root canal therapy usually entails one to three visits. During the first visit, a small hole is drilled through the top of the tooth and into the inner chamber. Diseased tissue is removed, the inner chamber cleansed and disinfected, and the tiny canals reshaped. The cleansed chamber and canals are filled with an elastic material and medication designed to prevent infection. If necessary, the drilled hole is temporarily filled until a permanent seal is made with a crown.
Most patients who have root canal experience little or no discomfort or pain, and enjoy a restored tooth that can last almost as long as its healthy original.
The aligners are made through a combination of our expertise and 3-D computer imaging technology.
